Neighborhood Redevelopment

The SABÉR Institute studies economies on the neighborhood level and works closely with government agencies to share knowledge and resources that can benefit targeted communities.

This research largely supports the St. Mary's University Neighborhood Revitalization Project—a group of individuals from the University, the Hispanic Chamber, and the neighborhoods committed to the redevelopment of five target areas surrounding the school's campus.

SABÉR has also focused on downtown San Antonio in a market analysis for downtown development.
The Project also offers a student internship in neighborhood development. For details about this and other student opportunities, visit the Internships section.
